Neil Findlay Memorial Trophy

On Monday 25th June 2012, Chris Badenoch, past president of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society presented the Neil Findlay Trophy for the best non-professional forestry paper of the year to Kevin Ginty and John Rippin of Laide & Aultbea Community Woodland.
Published in Scottish Forestry, the quarterly journal of the Royal Scottish Forestry Society, their paper entitled “From Commercial Timber to Community Woodland – The Laide Wood Project” was published in vol 64, no. 4 of Scottish Forestry.
The trophy is to be awarded at the Annual Business Meeting of the Society, usually held in May, for the best and most interesting amateur article appearing in Scottish Forestry in the previous year, as agreed by the Publications Committee, who have full discretion in this award, ratified by RSFS Council.
