Easter Eggs recovered in successful Hunt

The first group set off to find the eggs

Posted: Sunday 8 April, 2012

Unlike last year, when the sun was melting the chocolate eggs, this year the heavens opened and ensured that the temperature was perfect for the creme egg hunt.  Many parents were wet through, but the children enjoyed the afternoon event which saw close to 100 creme eggs recovered from the undergrowth.

The number of visiors attending was higher than expected, but almost everyone kept to the 3-egg limit, which helped to make sure there were enough to go around.  A good afternoon's entertainment was enjoyed by upwards of 50 or so children and their parents.

There were more people turned up than ever before, despite the rain, and the car parking overflowed onto the verge along the main road.  Many thanks to all the volunteers who came along and helped make it a great success.
